FoE: Siorus

Application for the group . I really like the look of this group, and as I’ve been itching to make a black swan-based character for about five months now, it seemed like a fantastic opportunity.

I decided on the name ‘Siorus’ because as my sister was suggesting it to me, the Swan Lake final overture came up on iTunes. It was meant to be.

I got in!

Brotherhood: The Wings

Name: Siorus _(see-ORE-us)

Species: Black Swan _{(cygnus atratus)}

Stage of Growth: Young Adult _{(appears to be in his early 20’s)}

Gender: Male

Season of Birth: Late Winter

Diet: Vegetarian - wetland vegetation

Favourite Food: Cattails grass _(Typha)

Dwelling Place: As he is not yet mated, he does not have a permanent nest or claimed lake/pond. Until such point, he sleeps in a small nest of trampled reeds by the water’s edge of a calm lake.

Personality: Siorus is sweet and unfailingly kind. He is, admittedly, a little shy, but he gets along rather well with most of the people he meets, and does not judge others based solely on their appearance. Despite his shyness, Siorus is not timid and is very protective of his flock and the people around him, almost to a maternal degree, and despite being a more-or-less pacifistic messenger, he fights mercilessly against the dark fire that threatens the world.

Siorus is the kind of person who falls a little bit in love with everyone he meets. No matter the person, their faults, or past, he always manages to see something good, bright and/or worth respecting within them, and he finds it to be a most beautiful light. The magic of Eden is a wondrous thing, and everything it bestowed life to has value, has some kind of beauty. Nothing is ‘worthless,’ save the senseless destruction cased by the dark fire. Siorus knows so little about those little imps, does not know if they burn with some secret purpose, but sees how even the very winds of the world combat against them, and that is reason enough for him to try to help fight the tide back in any way he can, to protect loved ones and strangers alike.

Weapon: Recurve Bow—though he is more of a messenger and does not often use his bow unless strictly necessary.

Additional Notes:

• Siorus likes and gets along well with everyone, but for whatever reason, he takes little romantic interest in females; if anyone ever manages to catch his eye, they are usually male.

• Aside from his bow, under the right conditions, Siorus’s wings can prove to be formidable weapons, capable of delivering powerful blows.
